This dataset is updated daily and contains data on all games, all teams, and all players within the NBA including: 60,000+ games (every game since the first NBA season in 1946-47) including for the games in which the statistics were recorded: Box scores, Game summaries, Officials, Inactive players, Linescores, Last face-off stats, Season series info, Game video availability.
NBA & ABA, WNBA, NBL, G League, and top International players. Includes indexed lists of players. International leagues include top European leagues and EuroLeague and EuroCup competitions, as well as China's CBA, Australia's NBL, and Men's Olympics.
Basketball Reference is a great resource to aggregate statistics on NBA teams, seasons, players, and games. This package provides methods to acquire data for all these categories in pre-parsed and simplified formats.
However, in my internet searching I didn’t come across any free easy-to-use datasets. The website Basketball-Reference.com is an excellent compendium of all the data I would want, but it was embedded within the webpage, not made available in an analysis-ready format. (Or at least, I couldn’t find it, or it wasn’t free.)
