The required beach volleyball court dimensions for USA Volleyball and NCAA and FIVB and World doubles competition is 16m by 8m (52’6” by 26’3”). USA Volleyball and the NCAA recommended having a free space of 6m (20’) and state that adjacent courts may share free space. If adjacent courts are situated end line to end line, 9m(29’-6”) of free space is recommended.

It is directly below the net. COURT: The volleyball court is an area divided into two equal halves by a net. It is 18 meters (59 feet, 0.75 inches) long and nine meters (29 feet, 6.375 inches) wide. The net is 2.24 meters (7 feet, 4.125 inches) high for women and 2.43 meters (7 feet, 11 inches) for men.

The official indoor volleyball court size in American measuring units is 29'6" by 29 feet and six inches for the half court area. The full volleyball court area is 59 feet x 29' 6". If you were using the metric system then the half court area is 9 meters by 9 meters while the entire court is 18 meters long by 9 meters wide.

The Site: The dimensions of a volleyball court are 29′-6″ wide by 59′-0″ long, measured from the outside edges of the boundary lines. In addition, you should have 10′ (more is even better) clear around the boundaries. The result is a complete playing area of 49′-6″ wide by 79′-0″ long.
The "Short Court" Boundary Lines System is designed and stitched for the new 2 vs 2 doubles volleyball court size. These lines are great for customers using a smaller yard for volleyball play. Similar to our other Pro Adjustable Boundary Lines, these are made of heavy duty UV treated webbing to prevent color fading and material degradation from prolonged sunlight exposure.
volleyball court: Volleyball courts (indoor) are flat and horizontal playing surfaces sized for the game of volleyball. Volleyball courts are regulated at 59’ | 18 m in length with a width of 29’ 6” | 9 m. Attack line dividing the front and back rows are marked 9’10” (10’) | 3 m parallel to the net. Free zones at a minimum of 9’10” | 3 m are required around the entirety of the court with generous clearances up to 16’5” | 5 m on the sides and 21’4” | 6.5 m in the back.
The free zone refers to the playable area outside the court’s boundary lines – both sidelines and end lines. For FIVB official competitions, the free zone must be a minimum of 5 meters (16 feet) and a maximum of 6 meters (20 feet) from the side of the court and the end lines.
